Cute Robot’s Successor Planned In Walker’s Point

In September, Cute Robot Japanese Kitchen announced its immediate and permanent closure in Walker s Point, leaving Milwaukee without one of its popular destinations for Japanese comfort food, curries and katsu. Sometimes, when a restaurant shutters, the space it occupied can sit vacant for quite some time. That doesn t appear to be the case for Cute Robot s former home at 704 S. 2nd St. Just over a month after it closed, a new restaurant and bar appears to be taking shape in the space. A recently filed liquor license application outlines plans for Cyruss to open at the address by February 2027. The application suggests Cyruss will serve a broad selection of American comfort food. Proposed appetizers include mozzarella sticks, onion rings, nachos, cheese curds and spinach-artichoke dip. Chicken tenders, burgers, wraps and wings round out the main courses, while sides include macaroni cheese, spaghetti,
